It looked like the same old story.
With sixteen minutes left in regulation, the St. John’s men’s soccer team saw a familiar number under their name on the scoreboard—0. They trailed the #7 Louisville Cardinals 1-0, and things looked bleak.
But in a span of 2:03, the Red Storm revitalized their offense, and perhaps their season, with two goals to pin Louisville against the ropes. After a Louisville equalizer sent the game into overtime, Tadeu Terra scored the Red Storm’s first golden goal of the season to clip the Cardinals, 3-2. (more…)

No matter who they seem to play, the St. John’s men’s soccer team can’t seem to avoid a tie in double overtime.
After tying #3 South Florida 1-1 on Saturday, the Red Storm played Princeton, winless in its last seven games, to the same result on Wednesday. (more…)

In front of a sell-out crowd of 4,785, the Red Storm and Huskies played a game where defense and more missed opportunities were the keys to victory.

Heading into Friday’s home opener, the St. John’s men’s soccer team had lived up to its lofty preseason expectations.
The Red Storm was ranked No. 4 in the NSCAA poll and No. 3 in the Soccer America poll heading into last night, after winning the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic last weekend by tying No. 7 Indiana and beating No. 12 Notre Dame. The Storm were beginning to gain momentum as the force it was last year.
But with 1228 fans in attendance and stormy clouds hovering above Belson Stadium, St. John’s only managed to tie Stony Brook, 1-1, in their first-ever meeting. (more…)
